Volume Eighteen is the 18th volume of The World God Only Knows. Before, the cover illustrations of volumes 11 through 13 were very special, because they followed the rankings of favorite female characters which was part of the author's poll. But now, as seen with the five previous volumes, the cover illustration has changed patterns and displays a goddess and her hostess. Because of that, this time around, Ayumi Takahara and the goddess who resides within her, Mercury, are placed on the front cover. On the back features Keima in his waiters outfit, holding a plater of coffee and a donut.
Synopsis[]
During the eve of the Mai Fest, Keima found out that Chihiro was not a retainer of a Goddess. Rejecting her, Keima broke Chihiro's heart, and especially the trust of her supporting best friend, Ayumi. Even though Keima was depressed, he is cheered up by none other than Tenri. Keima goes back to the conquest and searches into the history of Mai High and the Festival for some clues about the Goddesses. After finding out about the Goddess' past involvement and also the location of the Vintage base in the Human Realm, Keima is ready for the Mai Fest. But he is not only ready for the Festival, but also ready to conquer Ayumi, the last candidate of the final Goddess. But a shadow of Vintage appears, bringing a bad omen to Keima's conquest...will Keima be able to bring out the last Goddess before Vintage starts acting?

Omake Synopsis[]
Synopsis
Omake 1 : The 3 minute cooking a Lil' Devil Only Knows
After seeing Haqua's miso-soup, Elsie decides to make it as well using the ingredients (from hell) as well. She gathered Hellian Niboshi (Sardine), Wakame (Seaweed) and Tofu but the three ingredients begin to attack each other.
Elsie then used a pot of Miso to absorb the other ingredients and made a soup out of it. During meal time, Mari was complimenting on Elsie's food as Keima seem skeptical to the miso-soup made by Elsie.
Omake 2 : Vulcan
Vulcan was saying to herself on how her eyes were near-blind and her ears are almost useless as well. However, with Vulcan's proxy, Luna, is able to overcome those liabilities and is hence, able to protect Tsukiyo.
However, Mars begin to talk to Vulcan trough Luna a lot more as Vulcan tries to say that she is not Luna. Mars the says how "Vulcan" seems to be shrinking more and more as Minerva says that Vulcan needs to stay strong and healthy as the real Vulcan got angry over the fact that both Mars and Minerva treats Luna as her and also treats her like a senior citizen.
Omake 3: Apollo
While inside kanon, Apollo feels bored and decided to make the bells she created to do a melody from one of Kanon's songs. However, she eventually lie down again and complains how bored she is.
Omake 4: Minerva
Minerva is trying to reach a book from the top shelf but is too short to get it. She tried to use the other books to make a simple ladder but recalls Shiori's saying of treating books with respect. Minerva then had to continue to try and jump for the book as Mars asked why can't Minerva just use her wings to fly up there.
Omake 5: Mars
Mars decided to try a game that Keima left in Yui's room to see why he likes them so much. As Mars tries to play more and more, she soon gets addicted to it. Sometime later, Yui laments that she's been feeling tired more and more lately as Yui's mother worriedly tells her daughter to quickly go for a hospital check-up
Omake 6: Diana
Diana is still wondering how did Tenri managed to teleport from her magic box and tries to do it herself. However, it wasn't a success as Diana tells her problem to Luna while Vulcan angrily said that she's in Tsukiyo's body.
