hello there mate and I am an admin of the Kingdom wiki and I'd like to request an affiliation between our wiki and with yur wiki. . If interested, here's our wordmark and leave a reply with your wordmark. .
Hi Yuri, the custom badges work by counting the number of edits you've made on pages with the "Goddess" category. If you haven't got the badge, it could be because the articles you believe have to do with Goddesses doesn't have the category, or you could be bugged. If it's the latter, I suggest you take it to Special:Contact so that Wikia can take a look at it and hopefully resolve it.
The wiki cites the resource that scanned/translated the manga (e.g. Bodyjack) and occasionally cites the author's words. For anime, it's difficult to find an official source since I'm pretty sure most if not all sites have taken it from somewhere or the other.
As for characters, they exist within the manga/anime. Unlike a game wiki or a lifestyle wiki, there's only so much information in existence, since ultimately we take from two or three sources (omakes, the manga itself and the anime) and can't go much further than that. If you want to add citations for your information, it'd be very helpful, though!
PS: I forgot to tell you if you could check Category:Candidates_for_speedy_deletion every now and then, because as I update images, articles, templates or whatever, some things become not needed anymore and, being an admin, I thought you might want delete them.
Awfully sorry I didn't respond, but Message wall's been glitching out tons in the past week. I actually didn't read your message, since the clear function on the wiki went overboard and started to ignore messages (I think?).
Anyway, I've renamed the pages at your request, and I'll definitely check the Category out. I've used it before, but I kinda forgot, since it wasn't used much (I just sorta told people to ask me for deletes). Are you sure about the templates being deleted? If they're of no use, I'm fine with deleting them, but merging them doesn't necessarily mean they're useless. Thanks for letting me know!
My bad, the template you're talking about is probably the Infobox Arc template... I just noticed that in the reason for its deletion the link pointed to itself rather than to the right one. Now I get why the text of the link was bold and black instead of becoming purple like usual ahahah :P
Anyway, now you should be able to see the real reason why it's unneeded anymore. Basically, the newer Template:Arc Infobox template has variables for both anime and manga arcs so, in manga-only arcs was used the "Infobox Arc", which didn't have variables for the anime part. What I meant by "merging" was that I've added an "if" function to the newer one so, if the variable "previous anime arc" is used, it appears the same as before; if not, the anime section isn't shown at all.
Also, don't worry at all about the time it takes you to answer... I'm the one who feels sorry for pestering you almost everyday with all those things I can't do by myself, Lol :D
Alright, I've deleted it. I was also mentioning the other templates in that page, though; I think your Arc template was the only one I checked, so I assume that you had been responsible for them. I'll get to deleting/checking once I'm home.
And don't feel bad for asking me :) I enjoy taking requests; they keep me busy!
Personally... I loathe the fact that under each thumbnail and video you can see its uploader, and date and time of the upload too. It makes absolutely no sense to me why these infos should appear in the page you use those files. Anyway, if you agree with me, you can find how to hide those strings again among the comments on the bottom of this page. Actually there is more than one method but I think the best method should be the one that involves tweaking CSS attributes.
I'm fine about the title of the video under its thumbnail, it forces people to use meaningful titles. It means some renaming for the ones poorly named though, and sadly I can't do it.
I'm sorry that this is the most I can tell you but I'm completely oblivious to where those CSS things can be found for this wiki. Although maybe this can help you a bit... It's related to those changes I just told you about.
I got it to work, so thumbnails shouldn't have attribution tags any more. Thanks for directing me to the line I needed; I haven't touched the code on my wikis for ages, and it's kinda cool to see what they've done to update the interface!
Sorry to bother you again but I'm having troubles with the upload of new versions for already existing images. For example i tried to update File:Chapter_1.png but in the smaller previews (640px, 320px and 800px, the ones used the most basically) the image shown is always the oldest one while in the bigger ones (1024px and 1280px) the image has been correctly updated. Am I missing something?
As a side note, I've finished the import of Template:Ruby from the english wikipedia and I've already replaced the usage of the html ruby tag with this template in 2-B_Pencils and Vintage.
I think the image not updating may be because of cache error. If you empty your cache, it may fix the issue. Otherwise, I believe Wikia purges itself every so often, so it may take a bit of time to update. If this isn't fixed within a day or two, consider Special:Contact and let Support Staff know.
For most of the images I'm uploading things are starting to get fixed by themselves or by using the "action=purge" utility (very useful!!). For others, like in Flag 1 or Flag 2 no matter what I do, nothing changes. Moreover, more often than not it's only the infamous 300px thumbnail (the one used in the template) that doesn't get updated, so I'm thinking to change that value inside the template to something like 299 or 301 when I'm done uploading all the covers... that should solve things all at once, and then I can revert back to 300 if that thumbnail gets eventually fixed.
Regarding your previous suggestion to bring my questions to the forum... I did it but nobody answered me yet, so I thought I'd add my personal "to do list" to my profile. I'm telling you this because if you (as any other admin) want, we can discuss here any suggestion you might have about the things i wish to do, or even if I shouldn't do some of them at all for various reasons. Thanks again.
I noticed at File:Members_of_2-B_Pencils.png attempts to utilize a template but it's showing up as a red link. I'm not sure if this is something to wait to be added or if I should just remove the reference to the template and keep the information left behind? Like in this case, I added the list of characters in the image in the basic description but the episode it's from is still in the template.
I have never seen that template before, though it might exist on another wiki. As such, I've removed it from the page; if you see broken templates of a similar kind, feel free to remove them. Thanks for letting me know!
For all purposes the image has had the translation removed. The old version is simply there for archival purposes. Unfortunately, I don't think I can delete the old version without deleting the file altogether.
